Public launch of Changing Lives DLR

Thursday 17 October saw the public launch of Changing Lives DLR in Airfield Estate. The gathering of local leaders, residents, volunteers and donors emphasised the importance of collectively supporting those in our community who face challenges. The projects already being supported were showcased with those involved speaking movingly on video and in person of the impact on their work and the potential that further funding could realise.

An Cathaoirleach Cllr. Jim O’Leary launched our website and welcomed Changing Lives as an innovative initiative in the county.

Attendees included organisations that Changing Lives DLR has been working with, and supporting, including Community Foundation Ireland, Dublin Central Mission,Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Sandyford Business District and Southside Partnership.

Founding member, Marie Carroll welcomed those attending, especially the many donors, saying

“Changing Lives DLR hopes to make life better for many in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown. We thank our donors who share our ambition to make this a more and connected county. By focusing resources on quality projects that support those most in need we believe we can improve the lives of everyone.
